Job summary

A global biopharmaceutical leader is seeking a Senior Director (Sr. Principal Scientist) to oversee strategic planning and clinical research for investigational compounds in Immunology. Responsibilities include managing clinical development cycles, evaluating pre-clinical work, and leading teams in planning and executing clinical trials. The ideal candidate should have significant experience in clinical medicine and drug development, with strong leadership and collaborative skills. This position offers a competitive salary range and a hybrid work model requiring three onsite days weekly.

Qualifications

• Experience in the design and/or execution of phase 2 or 3 clinical trials specifically in Immunology.
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical medicine experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of industry experience in drug development.
• Demonstrated record of scientific scholarship and achievement.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross‑functional team environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating pre-clinical and translational work to generate early development plans.
• Providing clinical development support of business development assessments.
• Developing strategies for investigational drugs and planning clinical trials.
• Monitoring and managing the conduct of clinical trials for investigational drugs.
• Analyzing and summarizing clinical findings from studies.
• Participating in internal and joint research project teams.
• Supervising Clinical Scientists in the execution of clinical studies.
• Working with experts in commercialization, regulatory affairs, and statistics.
• Assisting in ensuring appropriate personnel are informed of study progress.
• Maintaining a strong scientific foundation by staying aware of developments.
