Job summary

Jobtailor in Illinois seeks a seasoned GRC leader to drive governance, risk, and compliance programs across the organization. You will develop and maintain the compliance framework and oversee policy management, third‑party risk, and risk reporting.

You will collaborate across functions to identify, assess, and remediate security risks, support attestation activities, and influence strategic decisions and budgets for GRC initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 10 years in IT/Info Security or 14 years in IT/Info Security/Risk/Compliance disciplines.
• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards and practices.
• Understanding of information security principles and control frameworks.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with security standards, regulatory compliance tools and platforms.
• Ability to influence stakeholders in complex organizations.
• Applied governance and risk program execution.

Responsibilities

• Leading the execution of information security governance, risk, and compliance programs.
• Developing and maintaining the compliance framework.
• Supporting compliance and attestation activities.
• Oversight of security policy management, exceptions, subsidiary risk, and third‑party risk management.
• Facilitating identification, reporting, management, and remediation of security risks.
• Maintaining effective risk tracking and reporting processes.
• Identifying and recommending improvements to security risk management controls.
