Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal seeks a Senior Director, Global Transaction Tax (Federal) in Boston to lead complex M&A tax engagements and deliver strategic tax planning for clients. You will review financial models and purchase agreements, coordinate tax teams, and cultivate client relationships.

Qualified candidates have 9+ years in M&A tax, CPA or JD with advanced tax credentials, and strong accounting knowledge, writing, and project management skills.

Qualifications

• At least 9 years of relevant mergers & acquisitions tax experience.
• CPA or JD with advanced tax credentials.
• Strong knowledge of accounting and financial reporting.
• Excellent writing, analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate understanding of complex tax concepts and apply tax knowledge to client situations.
• Develop and deliver quality tax planning approaches with timely, client-focused work.
• Perform due diligence reviewing tax returns and financial documents.
• Review tax aspects of financial models and purchase agreements.
• Coordinate with state/local and international tax teams to deliver integrated work.
• Develop and maintain client relationships.
