Job summary

Tract is seeking a Senior Director of External Affairs to lead federal, state, and local government relations and energy external affairs across the United States. The role collaborates with internal teams to craft a consistent policy narrative and strategy, manages lobbying activities, and communicates Tract’s priorities to policymakers and stakeholders.

Reporting to the Vice President, Business Development and External Affairs, this position requires political acumen, strong written and verbal

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Communications, Public Relations, Speech, Journalism, or related; JD highly preferred.
• Five to eight years’ experience in external affairs, public policy, government relations or related fields.
• Experience managing projects, consultants, coalitions, or legislative processes.
• Experience supporting infrastructure development projects across the United States.

Responsibilities

• Develop, track, and communicate external affairs priorities at national, state, and local levels.
• Prepare briefing materials and talking points for policymakers and clients.
• Monitor federal and state policy developments and coordinate lobbying activity as needed.
• Build networks with national-level policy makers and stakeholders.
• Lead community and government engagement, representing Tract's views positively.
