Cengage is seeking a Senior Director of Talent Acquisition to lead the strategy, design, and execution of our enterprise TA function. You will build a scalable recruiting organization that attracts top talent across product, technology, data, and AI enabled growth areas.

As a strategic operator, you will drive AI-enabled recruiting, workforce planning, and talent intelligence while partnering with leadership to continuously improve hiring outcomes in a digital-first, SaaS-driven company.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of dynamic talent acquisition experience, including 5+ years in leadership roles within sophisticated, matrixed organizations.
• Experience building and scaling enterprise talent acquisition functions in technology-enabled or high-growth environments.
• Experience implementing and using AI-enabled recruiting tools and talent intelligence to improve outcomes.
• Understanding of talent requirements within digital, SaaS, or AI-enabled organizations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute an enterprise talent acquisition strategy aligned to growth priorities and workforce plans.
• Build and scale a high-performing recruiting team with functional expertise.
• Lead the transformation of recruiting practices through AI-enabled tools, automation, and data-driven decision making.
• Partner with HR Talent Strategy Partners and business leaders to operationalize a skills-first talent strategy.
• Define hiring profiles and assessment approaches reflecting evolving capabilities, including AI fluency.
• Establish proactive talent pipelines for critical capabilities across product, technology, data, and leadership functions.
• Define and supervise recruiting metrics, workforce analytics, and market insights to drive accountability.
