Job summary

Google is seeking a senior security engineering leader to scale a multi-billion dollar product and oversee the AI-driven Agentic SOC initiative. You will drive the architectural migration from F1/Spanner to BigQuery, delivering zero-downtime, cost-efficient analytics for a global customer base.

You will mentor a global engineering organization, partner with product and research teams, and shape a long-term technical vision that enables secure, scalable cloud security solutions across Google

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 15 years of experience in software development, with 5 years in a technical leadership role.
• Experience leading and managing a team of software engineers.
• Experience in AI/ML, platform development, distributed systems or cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the long-term technical vision and strategy for the Google SecOps engineering organization.
• Build, mentor, and lead a global engineering team with a culture of innovation.
• Partner with product management leadership to ensure product roadmaps meet evolving security needs.
• Oversee migration from F1/Spanner to BigQuery with zero downtime and improved performance.

Job description

Minimum qualifications:
