Jobgether is seeking a senior leader to shape a company-wide digital strategy. You will partner with business and technology leaders to develop an enterprise-wide roadmap that drives growth, commercialization, and patient engagement across biotech and life-sciences domains.
You will evaluate AI initiatives, build governance, and align investments with business value while guiding vendors and internal teams through rapid, compliant adoption in a remote, U.S.-based setting.
- Define digital strategy and roadmap: Partner with business and technology leaders to develop an enterprise-wide digital innovation strategy aligned with long-term growth, development, and commercialization objectives.
- Assess existing digital capabilities, platforms, vendors, consultants, AI initiatives, and technology investments to identify gaps, redundancies, underutilized resources, and opportunities for simplification.
- Develop and maintain a prioritized, multi-year digital roadmap, sequencing investments according to business value, organizational readiness, risk, and scalability.
- Monitor emerging technologies and industry trends across biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and adjacent sectors, identifying practical opportunities while distinguishing sustainable innovation from technology hype.
- Enable commercial and patient-focused capabilities: Collaborate with Commercial, Market Access, Patient Services, Medical Affairs, and Enterprise Technology teams to define the digital capabilities required for product launch readiness and ongoing commercialization.
- Help shape the future digital experience for patients and healthcare providers, including patient support services, reimbursement, engagement, adherence, and omnichannel interactions.
- Strengthen enterprise analytics and decision-support capabilities in partnership with data and functional leaders, enabling more informed business decisions as commercialization approaches.
- Advance responsible AI and automation: Identify and prioritize opportunities to apply artificial intelligence, automation, and emerging technologies to improve business processes, operational efficiency, and decision-making.
- Establish structured approaches for evaluating, testing, and scaling digital and AI initiatives, ensuring clear business ownership, measurable outcomes, and sustainable adoption.
- Work closely with Enterprise Technology, Legal, Compliance, Privacy, and business stakeholders to ensure responsible, secure, and compliant implementation of new technologies.
- Build the digital operating model: Define roles, responsibilities, and decision-making authority across Enterprise Technology, Digital Innovation, and business functions to ensure clear ownership throughout the technology lifecycle.
- Establish effective governance frameworks covering demand management, investment prioritization, architecture alignment, vendor selection, and value realization.
- Determine which capabilities should be developed internally versus sourced through external partners, managing strategic consultants and vendors while evolving internal capabilities as business needs grow.
- Lead through influence: Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to senior leadership, connecting enterprise priorities with the practical needs of individual business functions.
- Translate business challenges into clear technology requirements and communicate technical opportunities, risks, and investment implications to non-technical stakeholders.
- Drive cross-functional alignment, organizational adoption, and change management in a fast-moving environment with evolving priorities and capabilities.
- 12+ years of relevant professional experience across digital strategy, enterprise technology, product management, data and analytics, or technology-enabled business transformation.
- Experience within biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, life sciences, or another highly regulated industry is strongly preferred.
- Proven track record leading enterprise digital strategy or transformation initiatives that connect technology capabilities with business objectives and functional requirements.
- Experience supporting organizations approaching product commercialization or launch readiness is highly valued.
- Working knowledge of commercial life sciences capabilities, particularly patient services, market access, omnichannel engagement, commercial analytics, and associated data flows.
- Exposure to Clinical and Medical Affairs functions is an additional advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, evaluate, and implement AI, automation, data, and emerging technology solutions to address real business challenges and deliver measurable value.
- Strong experience developing digital roadmaps, business cases, operating models, governance frameworks, and technology investment priorities.
- Proven ability to manage strategic vendors and external partners, with sound judgment when evaluating build-versus-buy decisions and partnership opportunities.
- Excellent cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior executives and drive alignment without relying on direct reporting authority.
- Strong strategic thinking and communication skills, including the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes and actionable recommendations.
- Comfortable operating in a high-growth environment characterized by ambiguity, competing priorities, and evolving organizational needs, while balancing immediate business requirements with long‑term capability development.
- Bachelor's degree required; an advanced degree or additional relevant technical or business training is considered an asset.
- Competitive base salary: Annual salary range of $230,000–$320,000 USD, depending on relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and the scope of the role.
- Performance‑based compensation: Eligibility for additional bonus and equity opportunities.
- Comprehensive healthcare: Access to a comprehensive health insurance package.
