Job summary

QTS Realty Trust seeks a Senior Director of Development to lead customer deployment projects for new client builds and implementations. You will liaise between the Sales Team, Operations, Property Development, and the Customer, ensuring design, pricing, approvals, and implementations meet high standards.

This role partners with Development PMs to align project outcomes with customer needs. You will travel up to 50% and influence cross-discipline teams in a fast-growth setting, reporting to the

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and/or professional licenses in Construction Management or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Architecture.
• Ten or more years of progressive responsibility in development of Mission Critical Facilities.
• Five or more years of responsibility of data center project construction with large-scale data centers or DC lease providers.
• US Citizenship for this position is required by law due to federal customer contracts.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer deployment project delivery for each sold deal within each QTS location.
• Coordinate with Property Development team and supporting consultants to support customer’s design needs, pricing, approvals & implementation.
• Drive client relationship management and cost management to deliver on time and budget.
• Serve as single contact for Federal sales support on potential secured deals.

The Senior Director, Development requires strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills, ability to self-direct, strong background in data center design, engineering, controls, and operational requirements, with an emphasis on project/construction management. In this role, you will function as QTS’ point of contact for new client builds and implementations and liaise between the QTS Sales Team (Account Exec and Sales Engineer), the QTS Operations Team, the QTS Property Development Team, and the Customer.
