Job summary

Gartner is seeking a Senior Director to lead AI and cybersecurity thought leadership within the BTI group. You will craft must-have insights, shape the research agenda, and advise clients at global scale. Travel up to 25% as required to engage with executives and Gartner events.

You will mentor analysts, translate complex trends into strategic roadmaps, and collaborate across teams to advance Gartner's research agenda and client outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Graduate degree preferred
• 12+ years of relevant field or industry experience
• Proven Cybersecurity Leadership Experience: You have owned cybersecurity strategy and operational outcomes as a CISO, deputy CISO, or equivalent leader
• Deep Expertise in Tech Leadership: You have led enterprise cybersecurity programs at the intersection of emerging technology
• Applied AI Judgment: You possess leadership experience navigating the enterprise AI lifecycle
• Regulatory & Framework Fluency: You can map, analyze, and advise on major global cybersecurity regulations and frameworks
• Broad Cybersecurity Market Literacy: You possess a wide view of the cybersecurity marketplace
• Demonstrate executive presence; credibility with executives
• Strong organizational, analytical, writing and presentation skills
• Willingness to travel up to 25%

Responsibilities

• Create innovative, thought provoking, and highly leveraged must-have insights content
• Develop new insights and action-oriented approaches for clients
• Identify root causes of client barriers and reframe strategy
• Demonstrate thought leadership across a team of analysts
• Provide actionable market insights to Gartner leaders
• Research, analyze and predict market trends for clients and vendors
• Deliver high-value presentations for events and client briefings
• Support BTI and Sales with market voice to drive engagement
• Provide content peer review and quality control
• Build credibility as Gartner industry expert and mentor junior staff
• Be client-centric and foster regular client engagement with Gartner insights
