Job summary

Closet Factory South Florida is seeking an experienced Director of Production and Manufacturing Operations to lead our high‑volume custom cabinetry and closet fabrication in Deerfield Beach, FL. This senior role demands a hands‑on leader who stays on the shop floor, drives safety, quality, and on‑time delivery.

You will manage 40+ staff, coordinate CNC and woodworking processes, optimize production schedules, and partner with maintenance and engineering to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years in a comparable production/manufacturing leadership role in cabinetry/wooding.
• Experience managing a manufacturing workforce of 40+ employees.
• Strong knowledge of CNC machining, woodworking equipment, production methods, and manufacturing processes.
• Maintenance knowledge: preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, documentation.
• Experience with facility maintenance, vendor coordination, and safety compliance.
• Ability to lead supervisors, operators, technicians, and assemblers.
• Experience in fast-paced, high-volume custom manufacturing.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus; Cut Rite and woodWOP experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily factory operations and production activities.
• Lead a 40+ person manufacturing team.
• Set daily/weekly/monthly production goals and monitor performance vs forecast.
• Oversee CNC machinery, woodworking equipment, edgebanders, and assembly operations.
• Maintain a hands-on presence on the shop floor.
• Ensure jobs are manufactured accurately, on time, and to spec.
• Reduce waste, rework, and quality defects.
• Develop and enforce preventive maintenance schedules for all machinery.
• Coordinate repairs and minimize downtime.
• Ensure facility safety, cleanliness, and overall condition.
• Coordinate outside contractors for repairs and maintenance.
• Monitor productivity, staffing, and machine utilization.
• Provide regular production and risk reporting.
