As part of our continued investment in cloud storage, we are creating a new leadership organization responsible for defining the hardware platform that powers OCI Storage for years to come. This newly created Senior Director leadership role will build and lead the Storage Media Layer organization, owning the strategy, engineering, qualification, vendor partnerships, and lifecycle management of the physical storage technologies deployed across OCI's global infrastructure. This is a unique opportunity to build an organization from the ground up while influencing billions of dollars of infrastructure investment and the future architecture of one of the world's largest cloud platforms.

Lead the long-term strategy and execution for the platforms powering OCI Storage. Responsibilities include: Defining multi-year storage hardware and media roadmaps; Evaluating emerging storage technologies and architectures; Driving hardware platform standardization across OCI; Balancing performance, reliability, density, power efficiency, and total cost of ownership; Partnering with software engineering teams to optimize hardware/software integration.
Build and scale a world-class engineering organization responsible for the storage hardware.
Lead the engineering of storage platforms deployed throughout OCI.
Partner closely with hardware and silicon teams on software operating near the hardware layer.
Establish engineering processes ensuring long-term reliability across OCI's global storage fleet.
Partner with executive leadership to define OCI's three-to-seven-year storage platform strategy.
We are seeking an executive who combines deep technical credibility with proven experience leading large engineering organizations in hyperscale infrastructure or enterprise storage.
A bachelor’s degree is preferred for this role. An advanced degree is a plus, but not essential.
