A Brief Overview
The Senior Director of Construction at Stanford Health Care (SHC) leads construction management services for capital projects across SHC facilities, serving SHC on behalf of multiple Stanford Medicine entities. This role provides significant leadership to optimize staff resources and ensure consistent project delivery, reporting to and supporting the Vice President to shape the department\'s capital initiatives. The role is responsible for delivery of cost, schedule, and constructability input during the Programming, Schematic Design, and Design Development phases, and assumes project leadership during the Construction Documents phase. The role requires substantial direct management of staff in Director - Construction, Sr. Manager - Construction, and other Construction staff to ensure project success. The Senior Director interfaces with the Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI/OSHPD) and coordinates with Facilities Planning & Design, Ambulatory Facilities & Activations, and Facilities Services Business Operations, while maintaining presence on site to oversee staff, construction, and vendors. The role requires daily on-site presence to drive best-management practices within the approved multi-year capital plan, ensure adherence to hospital and departmental policies, and uphold organizational construction principles to achieve high-quality outcomes. Position may involve projects in various locations across the Stanford Health Care footprint and weekend/holiday work depending on construction schedule.

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $106.01 - $140.47 per hour
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
