Job summary

ATLANTA DIABETES ASSOCIATES PC is seeking a Director of Clinical Research to oversee the management and execution of clinical research across the organization. The role focuses on developing client relationships, supporting staff, and ensuring day-to-day operations meet quality standards.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or related field with at least seven years in clinical research and a minimum of three years in leadership. Advanced credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Public Health, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of clinical research experience.
• Minimum 3 years of leadership or management experience within a clinical research setting.
• Strong knowledge of FDA regulations, ICH-GCP guidelines, IRB processes, and clinical trial operations.
• Experience managing research budgets, contracts, and sponsor relationships.
• Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop operating procedures and ensure the research team follows them.
• Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations.
• Oversee HR processes, staffing, and performance reviews.
• Coach and develop site staff to meet operational and revenue objectives.
• Conduct monthly site meetings for training and communication.
• Maintain safe, attractive, and efficient site operations.
• Maintain knowledge of all protocols and train staff accordingly.
• Lead study recruitment and sponsor communications.
• Oversee regulatory documents, NDAs, and contracts.
• Participate in protocol development and study reports.
• Oversee invoicing and study expense payments.
• Direct investigator-initiated study protocols.
