Job summary

Immatics US, Inc. seeks a Senior Director of Manufacturing Operations to provide strategic and operational leadership for GMP manufacturing and MSAT activities supporting late-stage development, regulatory approval, and commercial supply of cell and gene therapy products.

The role translates CMC strategy into integrated execution across Manufacturing, MSAT, and Digital Manufacturing Systems. Reporting to the Site Head, Immatics US & VP, Technical Operations, this onsite role is based in

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline (Immunology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Biotechnology, Bioengineering, or Pharmaceutical Sciences).
• 15+ years of progressive Technical Operations or Manufacturing Operations experience including 5+ years direct management in cell therapy manufacturing leadership and strategy in industry setting.
• Masters or Ph.D in a relevant discipline such as Immunology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Biotechnology, BioEngineering, or Pharmaceutical Sciences.

Responsibilities

• Lead GMP Operations organization, developing a high-performing team and driving accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Provide strategic oversight of GMP manufacturing operations and manufacturing readiness for launches and ongoing supply.
• Oversee process validation, lifecycle management, MSAT activities, technology transfer, and post-approval changes.
• Drive digital manufacturing initiatives, including MES/eBR, automation, and data-driven decision making.
• Ensure alignment with regulatory commitments and GMP requirements; support inspections and compliance.

Education

Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (Immunology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Biotechnology, Bioengineering, or Pharmaceutical Sciences)

Master's or Ph.D in a relevant discipline such as Immunology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Biotechnology, BioEngineering, or Pharmaceutical Sciences
