Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Consults and advises the Secretary, Deputy Secretary and Assistant Secretaries on food and agriculture policy for program effectiveness.
• Maintains day-to-day relationships with senior officials at OMB to justify Department policy positions on budgets and funding allocation.
• Oversees review and analysis of agency proposals for funding to ensure consistency with budgets and Department policies.
• Articulates and defends policy, program and budget decisions before Congressional hearings and high-level meetings.
• Directs the budget execution and coordination for related offices, including formulation of funding materials.
• Guides USDA budget execution through subordinate supervisors and coordinated actions.
