Job summary

Centessa Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Senior Director of Analytical Development within the CMC group in the US. The role will lead analytical strategy, method development, validation, and product characterization for small molecule APIs and dosage forms, coordinating with CDMOs and cross-functional teams across programs.

The candidate will oversee regulatory starting material, drug substance and drug product development, with travel to vendors domestically and internationally required.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, or related field (PhD strongly preferred).
• Extensive experience with small molecule analytical development and regulatory expectations.

Responsibilities

• Lead analytical strategy for phase-appropriate method development, validation, and product characterization across programs.
• Oversee outsourced analytics at CDMOs, including method transfer, qualification/validation, and data review for regulatory filings.
• Significantly contribute to CMC sections in IND/IMPD/NDA/MAA submissions and regulatory responses.
