Job summary

Direct Care and Treatment in Willmar, MN seeks a Direct Support Professional Senior for intermittent/on‑call housing support duties. You will assist residents with daily living, implement support plans, and help individuals achieve personal growth through de‑escalation and positive behavior supports.

Requirements include experience with IDs/mental illness, strong communication, and a valid driver’s license. Shifts vary; weekend and holiday work may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience with individuals with intellectual disabilities, mental illness, and/or co‑occurring diagnoses.
• Experience with verbal de‑escalation strategies and handling challenging behaviors.
• Clear communication with community members, employers and teams.
• Must be at least 18 years old and have basic math and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assessing individuals' needs through direct care duties.
• Develop and implement residential and habilitation support plans with goals and methods.
• Evaluate and document outcomes; modify plans as required.
• Respond therapeutically using de‑escalation strategies and positive behavior supports.
