Job summary

Access: Supports for Living in Pleasant Valley/ Poughkeepsie area, NY, is seeking a Direct Support Professional Senior to join an interdisciplinary team providing person-centered care to adults with developmental disabilities.

You will support daily living activities, health maintenance, and community integration while promoting independence and safety. Strong communication, flexibility across shifts, and adherence to NADSP core competencies are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in a related field (required or preferred).
• Associate’s in any field plus 2 years of experience may substitute for a Bachelor's.
• 4+ years of experience acceptable under alternative pathways.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care including activities of daily living.
• Assist with medication administration and health maintenance.
• Support development of independent living skills and community integration.
• Maintain documentation and safety checks per policies and regulations.
• Mentor DSP staff and participate in team meetings.
