The Center for Disability Services seeks Senior Direct Support Professionals for its Day Program in New York. You will provide full support to individuals, participate in daily activities, document services, promote independence and community inclusion.

Role may involve leading staff for assigned individuals; requires a HS diploma and 1 year related experience; able to lift 50 pounds; equal opportunity employer; comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• A minimum of one (1) year of job related experience is required, specifically working with people with developmental disabilities or related field.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Accurately documenting and providing services to the individuals supported.
• Promote independence and community inclusion.
• Implement day program plans and opportunities for self-determination, independence, and greater community involvement.
• May function as a Team Leader for assigned individuals and may direct staff.

Education

Associate’s degree or two completed years of college
