Job summary

Revolutional is seeking a Sr. Digital Forensic Analyst to lead forensic artifact and malware analysis within a 24x7 SOC supporting a large federal agency. You will guide the team, preserve evidentiary value, and produce reports that strengthen incident response and detection.

You will mentor analysts and develop practical solutions to complex problems, leveraging EnCase, FTK, Volatility, IDA Pro, and Ghidra while maintaining strict chain-of-custody and collaboration with the client SOC team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• Extensive expertise in the technical domain area with expert knowledge of advanced principles, theories, and concepts.
• Ability to develop solutions to undefined, complex technical issues impacting multiple areas.
• Demonstrated ingenuity in developing new technical solutions.
• Expert experience in digital forensics and malware analysis (memory, disk, network).
• Proficiency with forensic and reverse engineering tools (EnCase, FTK, Volatility, IDA Pro, Ghidra).
• Knowledge of evidence handling and chain-of-custody procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead forensic and malware analysis for priority incidents.
• Preserve evidentiary value while protecting operational systems.
• Deliver technical reports that drive response and detection improvements.
• Mentor forensic analysts.
• Lead collection of forensic artifacts, logs, memory captures and other relevant data.
• Analyze artifacts and malware to support incident response and detection improvements.
• Coordinate findings with client SOC team for monitoring and containment.
