Job summary

Waypoint’s client is seeking a Senior Digital Engineer in Chantilly, VA to lead MBSE-driven system architecture, design, and integration across complex programs. A strong foundation in SysML, DoDAF, and UAF is essential, with an active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.

You will collaborate with senior engineers, developers, and government stakeholders to create accurate diagrams and architecture models, ensuring requirements are translated into actionable tasks and validated through system

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field is required.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph is required.
• Extensive experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies and tools is required.
• Strong experience with SysML, DoDAF, and UAF frameworks is required.
• Experience supporting system architecture, requirements development, and integration efforts is required.
• Experience supporting DoD or Intelligence Community programs is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the application of MBSE methodologies, tools, and frameworks across system development efforts.
• Serve as a technical advisor to COTRs, leadership, and engineering teams on system architecture and design.
• Develop, maintain, and oversee system models using SysML, DoDAF, and UAF frameworks.
• Refine and decompose system requirements into actionable engineering and development tasks.
• Support system integration, verification, and validation activities.
• Ensure alignment of system models with mission needs, architecture standards, and technical requirements.
• Guide implementation of MBSE best practices across programs and teams.

Waypoint’s client is seeking a Senior Digital Engineer to support advanced engineering efforts within a mission-critical environment. This role focuses on leading the application of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies to drive system architecture, design, and integration across complex programs.

The selected candidate should have abasic understanding of network and system concepts as they will work closely with senior engineers, developers, and government stakeholders to ensure and create accurate diagram and architecture models and effective system design and implementation.
