Job summary

Draper, a nonprofit research and development company based in Cambridge, MA, seeks a Senior Digital Electronics Engineer to design, develop, and verify high-reliability digital electronics for processor/FPGA boards, low power electronics, and advanced packaging. You will lead electronics development within a multidisciplinary Harsh Environments group.

The role requires a Bachelor's in electrical engineering (advanced degree preferred) and 5–10 years of relevant experience, with US security

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 5-10 years experience in electrical engineering or related field.
  • Experience integrating and debugging embedded systems.

Responsibilities

  • Translates project and system requirements into well-defined hardware architectures with cross-functional teams.
  • Builds, debugs, and tests prototypes and deliverable hardware.
  • Prepares documentation for manufacturing and provides ongoing support.
  • Researches and enables innovative solutions for cutting-edge designs.
  • Mentors less experienced teammates and supports business development and proposals.
