Job summary

Acara Solutions seeks a Senior Digital Electrical Engineer in Wilsonville, OR to design, develop, and verify digital boards for imaging systems. You will work with multi-processor/FPGA boards and low-power electronics, contributing to image processing applications.

You translate requirements into hardware designs, collaborate with Product, Software, Mechanical, and Systems teams, and perform hands-on debugging and production release activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 5+ years of board design experience.
• 5+ years of high-speed digital design experience.
• 5+ years of FPGA board design experience (Artix/Kintex 7/Ultrascale, Zynq 7000/MPSoC).
• 5+ years of experience integrating and debugging systems in the lab.

• Conduct hands-on debugging and testing of prototypes and deliverables.

Compensation: $113,600 - $151,400/year.

Job Requirements

What You\'ll Bring:

• Bachelor\'s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in board design.
• 5+ years of High-speed digital design experience.
• 5+ years of FPGA board design experience, including AMD Xilinx devices such as Artix/Kintex 7/Ultrascale families, Zynq 7000 and Zynq MPSoC Ultrascale designs.
• 5+ years of experience integrating and debugging systems in the lab.

What Sets You Apart:

• Experience in Mentor Graphics PADs Schematic and Layout Tools
• Experience in Altium Schematic and Layout Tools.
• Experience with AMD/Xilinx FPGA/SOC design flow tools is a plus.
• Knowledge of embedded processors and interfaces such as PCIe, DDR3/DDR4 memories, Ethernet, 1553, SERDES, Aurora, UARTS, MIPI, etc.
• Ability to write detailed design specifications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks.
• Thorough understanding of engineering theories and procedures.
• Able to manage a task with multiple cross functional members and effectively communicates status to project leadership and customers.
