Job summary

World Market, LLC is seeking a Senior Digital Designer to craft engaging, customer-focused digital experiences for our e-commerce site. You will work on the Home Page, category gateways, seasonal pages, and promos, using Salesforce Commerce Cloud and Page Designer within a fast-paced retail environment.

The ideal candidate has strong visual storytelling skills, expertise in Figma, Photoshop, and Illustrator, and a deep understanding of UI/UX principles.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional digital design experience in retail or e-commerce.
• Hands-on experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud and Page Designer.
• Proficient in Figma, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Understanding of UI/UX, typography, responsive design, and visual hierarchy.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute digital experiences across the World Market e-commerce site (Home Page, Category pages, Seasonal gateway, Inspiration pages, promos).
• Translate brand guidelines and UX requirements into engaging designs.
• Create production-ready assets, comps, specifications, and developer handoffs.
• Collaborate with UX and development to ensure responsive and intuitive designs across devices.
• Maintain World Market's digital visual identity in typography, imagery, and layout.

What You'll Do

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Digital Designer with a strong eye for visual design, typography, layout, and digital storytelling. This role is responsible for creating engaging, customer-focused digital experiences across the World Market e-commerce site, including the Home Page, Category and Seasonal Gateway pages, Inspiration section pages, and promotional assets.

The ideal candidate brings strong creative thinking and hands-on experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud and Page Designer, with an understanding of how to design within platform capabilities and technical constraints.

Working closely with the Art Director, UX, e-commerce, marketing, content, and development teams, this individual will translate creative direction and business objectives into compelling, responsive digital experiences from initial concept through production.

We're looking for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable taking ownership of multiple projects in a fast-paced retail environment.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Design and execute compelling digital experiences across the World Market e-commerce site, including the Home Page, Category and Seasonal Gateway pages, Inspiration section pages, and promotional assets.
• Translate creative direction, brand guidelines, UX requirements, and business objectives into engaging, customer-focused digital designs.
• Design within Salesforce Commerce Cloud and Page Designer, leveraging existing components and templates while understanding platform capabilities and technical constraints.
• Create high-quality Figma comps, mobile-first responsive layouts, and production-ready assets, including image crops, specifications, and developer handoffs.
• Collaborate with UX and development teams to ensure designs are intuitive, functional, and optimized for implementation across devices.
• Partner with the Art Director to maintain and evolve World Market's digital visual identity, ensuring consistency in typography, imagery, layout, and visual hierarchy.
• Collaborate with e-commerce, marketing, and content teams to support seasonal campaigns, promotional initiatives, and business objectives.
• Apply strong UI design principles and e-commerce best practices to enhance the customer experience and support engagement and conversion.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining high creative standards, accuracy, and attention to detail, using established workflows and project management tools such as Asana.
• Stay current on digital design, e-commerce, and UI/UX trends, bringing fresh ideas and creative solutions to the team.

Remote Work Location:

This is a fully remote position, with responsibilities that require strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a virtual work environment. Candidates must be based in the Pacific Time Zone.

Experience & Skills You'll Bring

• 4+ years of professional digital design experience, preferably in retail, e-commerce, or a consumer-focused brand.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional digital design, visual storytelling, and UI design skills.
• Hands-on experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud and Page Designer, including a strong understanding of platform capabilities, components, and limitations.
• Expert proficiency in Figma, with strong skills in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Strong understanding of UI/UX principles, responsive and mobile-first design, typography, visual hierarchy, and component-based design.
• Experience collaborating with UX and development teams, including preparing production-ready comps, specifications, assets, and developer handoffs.
• Working knowledge of HTML and an understanding of how digital designs translate into responsive web experiences.
• Experience designing for e-commerce with an understanding of how creative supports customer engagement, usability, and conversion.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently.
• Experience with Asana or similar project management platforms.
• Bachelor's degree in Design, Visual Communications, or a related field preferred.

CA Pay Range is $115,000 - $130,000 annually
