Caterpillar seeks a Principal Digital Architect for the Physical AI Data Platform to define enterprise-wide architecture supporting streaming, batch, event-driven analytics and Physical AI workloads. You’ll establish scalable patterns for data ingestion, curation, storage, governance and lifecycle management to ensure a resilient and high-performing data ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed architecture deliverables to solve business problems.
• Design an application's technical infrastructure, including databases, languages, utilities and testing approaches.
• Define patterns for data ingestion, transformation, storage and lifecycle management for Physical AI workloads.
• Develop platform guardrails for observability, performance monitoring, resilience, security, retention and disaster recovery.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend platform strategies for future needs.
