Job summary

Ryder is seeking a Senior Level Diesel Technician in Roseville, Michigan to maintain and repair heavy-duty vehicles with state-of-the-art diagnostics. This role offers weekly pay, a second-shift schedule, and strong benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage after 30 days.

You will work with a range of maintenance tasks, training, and advancement opportunities while contributing to a safety-first workplace and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or Technical Certification Post Secondary degree or Technical Certifications, preferred.
• Basic tools, required.
• Three (3) years or more relevant work experience, preferred.
• Valid CDL CLASS A, preferred.
• All other certification as required by location, required.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy duty and medium duty equipment.
• Knowledge of computer skills: PC, Windows.

Responsibilities

• Performs standard vehicle maintenance and preventive maintenance.
• Diagnoses complex mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools.
• Replaces defective components with minimal supervision.
• Mentors Tech 1 and Tech 2 levels.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine the nature of the issue.
• Ensures compliance with safety, DOT, and corporate guidelines.
