Job summary

Ryder is seeking a Senior Level Diesel Technician in Hermon, Maine to work on heavy-duty vehicles with a 2nd shift from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm. The role offers weekly pay, compensation bonuses, tool allowance, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision after 30 days.

A CDL-A is preferred and several certification incentives are available. This position emphasizes safety and state-of-the-art equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Technical certifications preferred.
• Basic tools required.
• Experience with mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines including preventative maintenance and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard vehicle maintenance and preventive maintenance.
• Diagnose complex mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools.
• Repair and replace defective components with minimal supervision.
• Interface with customers/drivers to determine issues and plan tasks.
• Mentor Tech 1 and Tech 2 levels as needed.
