Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR in the United States is seeking a Fleet Technician I to conduct preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics and repairs on medium and heavy-duty trucks and related equipment to keep fleets safe and reliable.

You will diagnose electrical and mechanical issues, perform preventive maintenance, and work with lifting equipment and refrigeration units as needed. CDL is not required, and candidates typically have 4–5 years in fleet maintenance or a related program.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Current and valid driver's license (CDL, not required).
  • Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training; 2-year school + 4 years experience OR 5 years fleet maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment within planned time tolerances.
  • Perform Annual inspections (FAI/CVI) on fleet vehicles per regulations.
  • Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform repairs to manufacturer specifications.
  • Address Driver Vehicle Inspection Report write ups promptly and efficiently.
  • Mentor Fleet Technician I/II to aid in development and may supervise when managers unavailable.
