Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking an AMC General Sonographer to perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures in accordance with department policies. You will setup equipment, educate patients, and assist physicians with interpretation to support optimal patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Sonography Program.
• ARDMS Abdomen (AB) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates the request for diagnostic ultrasound services and assesses the patient to determine the appropriate procedure protocol and methods of application.
• Utilizes equipment and accessories, employs techniques and procedures, and generates ultrasound images in accordance with standards to limit patient exposure.
