Job summary

GreatWater Garage in Belvidere, IL is seeking an experienced Master / Diagnostic Automotive Technician to diagnose complex electrical and engine issues and oversee drivability and HVAC repairs. You will work with modern scan tools and a supportive team in a shop that emphasizes quality and accuracy.

You will mentor peers, maintain high productivity, and contribute to root-cause repair strategies while enjoying strong benefits and ongoing training opportunities within the GreatWater network.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as an A-Level Diagnostic Technician.
• Current state/local certifications plus driver’s license and clean MVR.
• All 8 ASE certifications preferred (A1–A8) or willingness to earn)

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair advanced electrical and engine performance issues.
• Diagnose fuel, ignition, and drivability systems.
• Diagnose and repair 4WD / AWD drivetrain systems.
• Perform advanced steering, suspension, and brake system repairs.
• Perform advanced HVAC diagnostics and repair.
• Complete Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVI) and provide accurate recommendations.
• Mentor and support less experienced technicians.
• Maintain a clean and professional work environment.
