Job summary

AMS Technologies, LLC in Port San Antonio, TX, is seeking a Mid/Senior Software Developer to design, deploy, and sustain cyber software systems in a DoD environment. Focus on Kubernetes-based platforms, secure delivery, and automation, working across engineering, operations, and cybersecurity teams.

The role requires strong Linux administration, containerization, and experience with DevSecOps; you will guide junior engineers and contribute to system architecture while delivering reliable, secure

Qualifications

• Hold active Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• 5–8+ years of relevant experience (or 3–6 years with Master's).
• Strong Linux (Ubuntu preferred) experience and containerized environments.
• Experience with Kubernetes, DevSecOps and Agile/Scrum environments.
• Familiarity with DoD security tooling and STIG compliance (ACAS, Nessus).
• Experience using Jira and Confluence for software lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain Ubuntu Linux environments and repo sync across platforms.
• Build and manage Kubernetes clusters and VM infrastructure for scalable apps.
• Develop IAM capabilities across systems (authz/authn).
• Support DevSecOps pipelines for build/test/integration/deploy.
• Apply DoD security requirements, patching, STIGs, vulnerability remediation.
• Collaborate across teams to support multiple releases and maintain reliability.
