Job summary

eSimplicity is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to design, build, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines in AWS. You will embed security controls, SAST/DAST/SCA tooling, and IaC with Terraform and Terragrunt.

Collaborate with Java, Python, and Django teams to remediate vulnerabilities, automate security monitoring, and maintain Federal compliance (FISMA/NIST). Remote within ET zone; occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or 10+ years of equivalent experience in DevOps/DevSecOps roles.
• 8+ years of DevOps Engineer experience with security emphasis.
• Proven experience in DevSecOps/DevOps or Security Engineering roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud security principles.
• Proficiency with IaC tools Terraform and Terragrunt.
• Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines, preferably with GitHub Actions.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to deliver applications and infrastructure.
• Embed security controls, tools (SAST, DAST, SCA), and processes throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Manage and secure cloud infrastructure using IaC with Terraform and Terragrunt.
• Implement and manage security for containerized applications using Docker.
• Collaborate with development teams (Java, Python, Django) to remediate security vulnerabilities.
• Automate security monitoring, logging, and incident response in AWS.
• Ensure systems meet federal compliance standards (FISMA, NIST) and CMS security requirements.
• Support security of data platforms (Databricks, Redshift).
• Work with cross-functional teams to foster a culture of security awareness.
