Job summary

Protingent Staffing seeks a Software Engineer III, DevSecOps for a Louisville, CO contract role. You will design and maintain GitHub Enterprise in Azure and air‑gap environments, build Artifactory setups, and develop robust CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Docker, and Kubernetes.

You will automate infrastructure with Terraform and Ansible, ensure security integration, and partner with developers to improve performance and reliability in a highly secure, air‑gap context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; typically 5+ years of related experience.
• Expertise in one or more programming languages and software development principles.
• Ability to design and architect complex software systems.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum/Kanban methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to mentor and guide other engineers.
• Willingness to obtain Security+ or IAT2 certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain GitHub Enterprise installations in Azure and air-gapped environments.
• Configure, deploy, and maintain Artifactory in air-gapped environments and develop CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, ensure high availability, and collaborate with developers to optimize processes and embed security practices.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration with Terraform and Ansible; conduct security, performance, and availability tests.
• Ensure reproducible, quality software following industry best practices.
