Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to join a collaborative, high-performing team responsible for integrating security across development and operations lifecycles.

You will design, build, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines, enforce security practices, and mentor teams on secure coding and threat modeling. This role requires a Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and a bachelor's degree in a technology field.

• Bachelor’s degree in a technology discipline required.
• Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Experience with DoD 8140 IAT II compliant certification.
• Strong mentoring and collaboration skills.

Senior DevSecOps Engineer

We are seeking an experiencedSenior DevSecOps Engineer who will work as part of a collaborative and high-performing team providing expertise to ensure integration of security best practices throughout the development and operations lifecycles.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

• Design, build, and maintainsecure, automated CI/CD pipelinesto support application development and operations.


• Implement and enforcesecurity best practices, including secure configuration, dependency management, and deployment patterns.


• Ensureend-to-end integration of securitythroughout the SDLC, including build, test, deploy, and runtime operations.


• Design, deploy, operate, and maintainenterprise development security platforms, secure or vetted package management solutions, and SecOps CI/CD solutions.


• Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams toembed security controls into pipelines, tooling, and workflows.


• Provideadvanced technical guidance and mentoringto development teams on secure coding practices, threat modeling, and vulnerability remediation.


• Strengthen theoverall application security postureby identifying risks, recommending solutions, and driving adoption of security standards and patterns.


• Lead and participate insecurity-focused reviews, including design reviews, code reviews, and pipeline security assessments.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

• Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.


• Bachelor’s degree in a technology discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering) and aminimum of 5 years of relevant experience ; relevant experience may be substituted for education.


• Strong, hands-on experience in thedesign, deployment, operations, and maintenanceof:


• Significant hands-on experience inDevOps/DevSecOps engineeringsupporting enterprise applications.


• Strong understanding and practical experience with:


• DoD 8140 IAT II compliant certification.


• Proven ability tomentor and influence development teamson secure engineering practices.


• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to designscalable, reliable, and secureautomation solutions.


• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to buildtrusted relationshipswith technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The likely salary range for this position is $110,500 - $149,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
