Job summary

Imprivata seeks a Sr. Manager of DevSecOps and Application Security to lead our unified security function across design through retirement.

You will embed security across the lifecycle and partner with Engineering, Product, IT, Cloud, and SecOps to secure cloud, on‑prem, and hybrid environments. You will drive security-by-design, threat modeling, and governance, while maturing the program with metrics, budget oversight, and stakeholder communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years in DevOps, cloud engineering, software engineering, or security.
• 3+ years leading security/DevSecOps teams across multiple products.
• Experience embedding security in CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms.
• Experience with SAST/DAST/SCA and secure software supply chain.
• Strong scripting or programming skills and knowledge of IAM, least privilege, encryption.

Responsibilities

• Lead the DevSecOps and Application Security team with clear goals and development opportunities.
• Transition DevSecOps into the Security organization, defining operating model, governance, and processes.
• Own program strategy, roadmap, staffing, vendors, tooling, budget, and escalation paths.
• Establish security-by-design practices, threat modeling, policy-as-code, and developer guidance.
• Mature application security: code reviews, security testing, vulnerability management, remediation.
• Govern security tooling: SAST, DAST, SCA, IaC scanning, container security, and pipeline controls.
• Protect software supply chain: repos, build systems, credentials, artifacts, cloud and on‑prem.
• Address agentic AI security risks and coordinate with SecOps on incident response.
