Hona is seeking a Senior DevOps Quality Assurance Engineer

You will play a pivotal role in advancing our DevOps and Quality Assurance practices, particularly within the context of our TypeScript Monorepo hosted on Amazon Web Services. Your primary focus will be on designing, implementing, and expanding the tools and infrastructure required for maintaining high-quality standards while enabling rapid, continuous delivery. As we move to a multi-team engineering environment, your expertise will be instrumental in establishing robust quality gates and automated testing frameworks as Hona continues to expand.

Responsibilities:

• Quality Infrastructure: Design and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform to support automated testing environments and quality assurance workflows.
• Test Automation: Develop and maintain comprehensive test automation frameworks, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing pipelines.
• Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines with integrated quality gates, ensuring code meets quality standards before deployment.
• Performance Testing: Set up and manage automated performance testing infrastructure to ensure system reliability and scalability.
• Quality Metrics and Monitoring: Establish and track key quality metrics, implementing automated monitoring and alerting systems to maintain high quality standards.
• Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to integrate quality practices into the development lifecycle and provide guidance on testing best practices.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or QA Engineer with at least 3 years of experience in quality assurance and development operations.
• Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Jest, Cypress, Selenium).
• Strong experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and integrating quality gates.
• In-depth knowledge of performance testing tools and methodologies.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Solid understanding of testing best practices, including test-driven development (TDD) and continuous testing.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience with Temporal.io is a plus.
