ServiceNow (ATG) is hiring a Senior (DevOps) Machine Learning Engineer in Santa Clara, CA (onsite). In this role, you’ll help build cloud-based AI/ML solutions that power intelligent enterprise services while improving workflow efficiency. You’ll work in a production-focused environment with strong emphasis on Kubernetes operations, observability, and end-to-end ownership, from design through delivery.

What you’ll do

• Build and deliver cloud AI/ML solutions to support intelligent enterprise services
• Collaborate daily with developers, product managers, and quality engineers to produce quality software
• Partner with product owners to understand requirements and own code end-to-end: design, implementation, testing, and delivery
• Deploy, scale, and operate services in production Kubernetes, including Helm-based deployments and CI/CD pipelines that enable repeatable releases and safe rollbacks
• Own observability for what you build, including meaningful metrics, useful logs, real tracing, and alerts that trigger on customer impact rather than noise
• Debug and resolve production incidents independently, participate in on-call, conduct root-cause analysis, and operate against service level objectives

What you bring

• Expertise in Go or Python, including design patterns and time and space-efficient algorithms
• Experience building new products that apply challenging algorithms
• Expertise in writing efficient, object-oriented, modularized and high-quality software
• Knowledge of core AI/ML techniques and algorithms
• Knowledge of unit testing, profiling, and code tuning

How AI coding assistants fit in

Confident use of AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor, with a critical review approach to validate AI-generated code for logic errors, security anti-patterns, and missed edge cases. Experience with AI-assisted debugging and trace analysis, along with awareness of data privacy rules for prompts.

Compensation and benefits

• Base pay of $161,300 - $274,200 per year, plus equity (when applicable) and variable/incentive compensation and benefits
