Job summary

Intaker is seeking a Senior DevOps & Infrastructure Engineer to own AKS and Azure infrastructure, and to scale pipelines across Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions. You will partner with software and QA to ship changes safely and reliably.

This high-autonomy role emphasizes reducing toil, implementing AI-driven automation, and strengthening security, incident response, and runbooks for production SaaS.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps, Platform Engineering, SRE, or equivalent production role.
• Advanced Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions experience with repo administration.
• Observability with Grafana/Loki and SQL troubleshooting skills.
• Strong RBAC/secrets/least-privilege fundamentals and incident handling.

Responsibilities

• Cloud & Kubernetes ownership: operate, scale, and optimize AKS and Azure infra for uptime.
• CI/CD & automation: build release pipelines; manage repo permissions and secrets.
• Observability & incident response: enhance logging; setup alerts; coordinate on-call.
• Security & compliance: enforce least-privilege access and RBAC for cloud apps.

Intaker is a fast-growing, AI-native SaaS company looking for a hands-on Senior DevOps & Infrastructure Engineer to take full ownership of our Microsoft Azure cloud ecosystem, Kubernetes clusters, CI/CD, and observability tools - working closely with Software and QA Engineers to help teams ship changes safely.

This is a high-autonomy, senior IC role with real influence over our infrastructure practices. If you enjoy eliminating toil, scaling Kubernetes, and streamlining pipelines with AI-driven automation - this role is for you.

Responsibilities

• Cloud & Kubernetes Ownership: Operate, scale, and optimize production AKS clusters and Azure infrastructure for maximum uptime.
• CI/CD & Automation: Build release pipelines across Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions; administer repo permissions, branch policies, and secrets.
• Observability & Incident Response: Improve Grafana/Loki logging, setup alerts, and coordinate incident response during on-call.
• Security & Compliance: Enforce least-privilege access and control Kubernetes RBAC and cloud permissions.
• Database Support: Support Azure SQL/SQL Server connectivity, query performance, backup, and recovery.
• Enable Engineering Teams: Help teams deploy new services safely; maintain runbooks and recovery plans.
• Innovation: Evaluate and implement developer tools and AI automation to boost productivity.

Requirements

• 5+ years in DevOps, Platform Engineering, SRE, or a comparable production-focused role.
• CI/CD: Advanced Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions experience, including repo administration.
• Observability & Data: Grafana/Loki experience or similar, plus ability to write/review SQL and troubleshoot performance. Setup alerts
• Security: strong RBAC/secrets/least-privilege fundamentals.
• Ownership: A track record of owning production deployments and incident response end to end.
• Communication: Clear written communication; able to work independently and prioritize risk.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, or SLO-based monitoring.
• Experience with internal developer portals or AI-assisted operational tools.
• Experience supporting production SaaS or distributed application environments.
• Reading through code and reviewing PRs.
