Job description

You're a DevOps engineer who believes prevention beats reaction. If your passion lies in dissecting chaotic legacy systems, architecting more robust solutions, and automating repetitive work out of existence, this opportunity is for you. We need an AWS infrastructure specialist who excels under pressure, where 99.9% uptime isn’t aspirational—it's baseline. You'll operate across a diverse portfolio of acquired products, each carrying unique technical debt, transitioning them into a unified, scalable AWS environment while implementing monitoring and automation that turns incidents into exceptions rather than norms.

Most organizations ask you to maintain one stack. We’re asking you to merge and refine several without disruption. Where others separate databases, we take a different approach, consolidating them strategically to enhance cost efficiency and operational manageability across our portfolio. This position isn’t for someone content to manage static infrastructure; it’s for someone who looks at fragmented, inconsistent environments and immediately envisions the path to something better.

You’ll be accountable for infrastructure migrations, AI-powered automation, performance optimization, database transitions, and cost management. That means identifying and resolving issues, orchestrating cloud migrations with minimal downtime, and leveraging AI/ML-driven workflows to automate significant portions of operational overhead. You’ll possess genuine authority to make infrastructure choices—no lengthy approval cycles from stakeholders disconnected from technical reality.

If you’re a self-directed problem-solver energized by untangling intricate systems and achieving operational excellence, this role will challenge and reward you. If you require constant guidance, struggle with heterogeneous technology environments, or prefer greenfield projects to transforming chaos into order, this position won’t be a fit. If you’re prepared to own a high-impact infrastructure function with opportunities to build, refine, and automate at scale, submit your application today.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Orchestrating complex infrastructure transitions, including migrations from legacy platforms to AWS cloud environments and lift-and-shift operations
  • Creating monitoring strategies and developing automation for monitoring systems, software deployment pipelines, and operational processes
  • Executing system monitoring, backup procedures, incident management, database migrations, database configuration, and cost optimization initiatives
What You Won’t Be Doing
  • Spending your days in Jira tickets and status meeting marathons - we prioritize people who deliver solutions, not just document issues
  • Keeping legacy systems alive indefinitely - you’ll be authorized to implement substantial improvements
  • Waiting on bureaucratic approval processes - you’ll possess the authority to implement urgent fixes when incidents occur
  • Operating within restrictive technical boundaries - this position demands both comprehensive knowledge and specialized expertise
  • Justifying budget requests for essential infrastructure work - we recognize the value of infrastructure investment
Senior DevOps Engineer Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure reliability and standardization of cloud infrastructure across our expanding product portfolio through implementation of comprehensive monitoring, automation, and AWS best practices.
Basic Requirements
  • Deep AWS infrastructure expertise (this is our primary platform - other cloud experience alone won’t cut it)
  • Experience scripting with Python and Bash for day-to-day administration operations
  • Experience managing and migrating production databases with multiple engines (including MySql, Postgres, Oracle, MS-SQL)
  • Experience with infrastructure automation (Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation)
  • Linux systems administration expertise
