Job summary

A leading technology consulting firm is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to enhance software delivery pipelines through CI/CD automation and security practices. This hybrid role involves designing and maintaining deployment pipelines, managing cloud environments, and collaborating across development teams. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in CI/CD tools, container orchestration, and scripting. Excellent benefits are provided, including health insurance and a 401k match, with a pay rate of $55.00 to $65.00 per hour on a W2 basis.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application deployment.
• Implement infrastructure-as-code solutions.
• Manage and optimize cloud environments.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Build security telemetry and alerting with SIEM/SOAR tools.
• Collaborate with development teams for smooth software integration and delivery.
• Implement security best practices in deployment and infrastructure.
• Automate repetitive tasks to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Maintain documentation for processes, configurations, and standards.

Skills

Proficiency with CI/CD tools (e.g., Artifactory, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)

Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)

Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar)

Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (DataDog, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)

Knowledge of networking fundamentals and security principles

Experience with infrastructure-as-code (AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible)

Cloud environment management (AWS Native Services, Serverless Technologies)

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Certifications such as AWS Certified Security Specialty, Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS), or CISSP are a plus
