Job summary

OpenTalent is seeking an experienced DevOps/Platform Engineer to design, implement, and maintain Kubernetes-based pipelines for scalable C++ or Python applications in a Fort Meade, MD environment. You will manage clusters, optimize GPU usage, and drive automation across CI/CD and deployment, collaborating with architects and project managers to meet strict timelines.

Ideal candidates have 20+ years of professional experience and a strong SOW-aligned SWE background, with expertise in RBAC, Helm,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience with 20+ years of professional experience.
• Expertise per GG SOW Appendix B for SWE labor category level 3.
• Strong Kubernetes cluster design, deployment, and lifecycle management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain DevOps pipelines for C++ or Python applications.
• Manage and configure Kubernetes clusters for HA, scalability, and security.
• Identify, debug, and correct defects with effective troubleshooting.
• Configure GPU resources using CUDA or similar technologies.
• Automate testing and deployment with Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver software on schedule.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for designs, processes, and interfaces.
