Halogen Engineering Group is seeking a senior DevOps Engineer with TS/SCI w/Poly for an on-site role at Fort Meade, MD. The ideal candidate will lead development lifecycle support, implement release pipelines, and establish robust CM systems using GIT, Puppet, and Ansible.

You will work across teams to automate deployments, optimize service architectures, and ensure high availability while maintaining security practices. A strong background in Linux, AWS, and Agile methodologies is required.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent with Git.
• Strong knowledge of Linux environments (RHEL 6/7/8, CentOS).
• Experience with Windows system administration, monitoring, resiliency and performance.
• 10+ years in an Agile dev environment (excluding degree).
• Experience integrating Jenkins/Bamboo, Docker, and Kubernetes for automated deployment.
• Experience with caching technologies (Memcached, Redis, etc.).
• Experience with MySQL and Elasticsearch (Kibana a plus).
• 10+ years of system architecture and AWS cloud management in a PaaS setup.
• Proficient in OO programming languages (Ruby, C, C++, Go, Python, Java).
• Ability to work across teams and communicate effectively.

Responsabilités

• Support the development life cycle of platform architecture design and deployment.
• Build a release pipeline for fast, safe production delivery.
• Maintain CM systems (GIT) with branching/merging strategies.
• Serve as technical lead for an Agile team and participate in ceremonies.
• Automate release deployments across dev/test/stage/prod stacks.
• Set up sites and apps via Puppet/Ansible configurations.
• Maintain and document Confluence/Jira usage and patching.
• Develop and maintain web service infrastructure and deployments.
• Analyze service stack and recommend improvements.
• Identify process automation opportunities.
• Bridge stakeholder and dev requirements with clear communication.
• Support deployment and operations as needed.
• Maintain data confidentiality in processing and storage.
