Stcnet is looking for a Senior DevOps Specialist to support the National Weather Service in hybrid deployment environments. This role focuses on designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for mission-critical applications, utilizing AWS infrastructure and Kubernetes. Ideal candidates should have extensive experience in DevOps, AWS, Docker, and GitLab. The position offers a hybrid work model with competitive pay ranging from $130,000 to $147,000 per year, along with various benefits including PTO and healthcare options.
Qualifications
3+ years of DevOps experience.
2+ years of AWS experience including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and EKS.
2+ years of experience with GitLab CI/CD (or GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
Strong Docker and Kubernetes experience.
Experience with scripting languages including Python, Bash, or Node.js.
Experience with Terraform or AWS CDK (Terraform preferred).
Linux administration experience and Bash/Python scripting skills.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for micro‑frontends and microservices.
Implement automated testing, security scanning (SAST/DAST), and deployments.
Manage container builds and AWS ECR container registry.
Implement blue‑green and canary deployment strategies.
Provision infrastructure using Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).
