Job summary

London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) seeks a DevOps Engineer to own the delivery pipeline and operational automation for its observability platform. The role focuses on ensuring components are deployable, scalable, updatable, and rollbackable across cloud and on-prem environments, with Azure as the primary target.

You will lead CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, GitOps workflows, and container operations, collaborating with the Lead Engineer and SRE team to balance velocity with stability.

Qualifications

• Experience crafting and maintaining CI/CD pipelines from commit to production.
• IaC with Terraform including state management, secrets handling, and environment separation.
• Experience with GitOps practices, environment promotion, and version-controlled configuration.
• Container and orchestration experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm, including stateful workloads.
• Secrets management using Vault, Azure Key Vault, or equivalent tools.
• Cloud infrastructure experience with portable patterns across providers or on-premises environments.
• Ability to communicate clearly with engineering and SRE teams about pipeline design and risk.

Responsibilities

• Develop, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for all platform components, covering testing, validation, provisioning, and deployment.
• Implement and evolve GitOps workflows with branching, environment promotion, approval gates, and rollback patterns.
• Monitor health and performance of the delivery pipeline using the observability platform.
• Evaluate tooling to increase deployment safety, pipeline reliability, and developer experience.
• Manage IaC using Terraform, including module design, remote state management, and secrets handling.
• Operate container and orchestration infrastructure with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm, including stateful workloads.
• Develop portable delivery and infrastructure patterns for Azure as primary and other providers.
• Collaborate with the Lead Engineer and SRE on runbooks and deployment state.
