Job summary

A technology company in Sunnyvale, CA is urgently looking for a skilled Cloud Systems Engineer to manage and optimize cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate should hold a BS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, with 5+ years of experience in Linux environments (Ubuntu preferred) and proficiency in Python. Responsibilities include managing cloud systems, automating deployment processes, and performance tuning. This is a contract or potentially full-time position requiring expertise with AWS and administration of databases such as Postgres or MySQL.

Qualifications

• 5+ years working in Linux environments, preferably Ubuntu.
• 4+ years experience with tools using at least one programming language, preferably Python.
• 4+ years' experience architecting and administering databases like Postgres or MySQL.
• 3+ years' experience with caching technologies such as Memcache or Redis.

Responsibilities

• Manage cloud systems ensuring uptime and performance.
• Automate deployment processes using tools like Chef, Puppet, or Ansible.
• Tune performance and benchmark cloud systems for optimization.
