Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a DevOps Engineer to enable fast, secure software delivery through automation and cloud-native infrastructure. You will support build, test, deployment, and monitoring across multiple applications, collaborating with development, QA, and operations teams to improve reliability and pipelines.

The role emphasizes DevSecOps, IaC, and container orchestration with Kubernetes/OpenShift/GKE, plus experience with Google Cloud and monitoring tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems Management, or a related field, or Four (4) years of equivalent professional experience in lieu of degree.
• Six (6) years of industry experience.
• Two (2+) years as a DevOps Engineer.
• Experience in a DevOps environment supporting multiple teams/applications.
• Proficiency deploying and troubleshooting Java-based stacks (NGINX, Apache HTTPD, JAVA JDK, Tomcat, PostgreSQL).
• Strong understanding of network configurations (Reverse Proxy, TLS, DNS, Load Balancers, Routers, Firewalls).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Tekton, GitLab, Harness preferred).
• Hands-on with Google Cloud and/or Kubernetes (OpenShift, GKE, or EKS).
• Proficient with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, YAML, ArgoCD, Helm).
• Git source control experience (Git, GitLab, Bitbucket).
• Experience with Linux (RHEL 8+).
• Familiarity with Windows Server (2016+).
• Experience with DataDog, Splunk, Google Logging and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Support build, test, deployment, and monitoring tools in a cloud-hosted infrastructure.
• Assist with software releases, infrastructure management, installations, configurations & connectivity.
• Monitor and optimize system performance with Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Splunk, ELK.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and operations to improve deployment workflows.
• Ensure security best practices in pipelines and infrastructure (DevSecOps).
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development and production environments.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, Cloud Build, Harness.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using IaC (Terraform, Ansible, Helm).
• Deploy and manage containerized apps using Kubernetes/OpenShift/GKE/Cloud Run.
