Job summary

Two Six Technologies in Arlington, VA is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to support mission-critical applications within an Agile team. You will develop, deploy, automate, and support hybrid cloud platforms and infrastructure, and contribute to documentation.

The role requires 5+ years of Linux, cloud DevOps, scripting (Python, Shell), and hands-on experience with Git/GitLab CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes, and Terraform or CloudFormation. Onsite four days per week; TS/SCI eligibility preferred.

Qualifications

Overview Of Opportunity

Two Six Technologies is currently seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to support our customer's mission-essential applications within an Agile Team. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for the development, deployment, automation, and support of hybrid cloud software platforms and infrastructure, as well as accompanying documentation.

This position requires working onsite at our Arlington, VA facility 4 days per week.

Responsibilities Include

• Develop and support CI/CD pipelines for software applications written in multiple languages, targeting Linux, Windows, and Android platforms.
• Automate the configuration and deployment of complex distributed software platforms.
• Focus on delivering infrastructure as code (IaC) to ensure environments are consistently provisioned and can be easily replicated.
• Create new environments and capabilities in collaboration with members of various cross-functional teams.
• Work on a Greenfield project to modernize and reimagine, rather than merely recreate, a legacy system.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience).
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience with Linux, Cloud DevOps, and scripting (Python and Shell).
• Hands-on experience with version control systems and CI/CD automation tools (Git and GitLab CI/CD pipelines).
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance up to TS/SCI.

Nice If You Have

• Experience with Golang development or scripting.
• Used Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation to create and manage cloud infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of AWS networking, security groups, and cloud architecture.
• Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, ECR, EKS).
