Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a hands-on Senior DevOps & Application Engineer to build internal tools, APIs, and scalable AWS infrastructure. You will blend software development with DevOps to deliver reliable, secure, production-ready solutions for Sunrise communities.

The role involves designing CI/CD pipelines, automating deployments, and improving monitoring. You will work closely with users and stakeholders to shape practical, scalable solutions that support new revenue streams while

Qualifications

5+ years of professional experience in software engineering, DevOps, or a combination of both.
Experience running production workloads on AWS with deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to build production‑quality applications in modern languages such as Python, TypeScript/Node.js, Go, C#, or Java.
Ownership across the software lifecycle from problem to deployment and support.
Clear communication and pragmatic judgment with both technical and non-technical partners.

Responsibilities

Develop internal tools, customer-facing apps, APIs, and automation that improve community experiences and revenue.
Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automate tests, and standardize service builds, containers, and releases.
Develop the AWS platform alongside applications, provisioning scalable and cost-conscious cloud infrastructure.
Strengthen monitoring and observability to reduce manual work and improve reliability.
Collaborate with users, customers and stakeholders to validate needs and iterate on product improvements.
