Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Developer Experience Engineer to shape agent-driven development on AWS. You will determine focus areas, create hands-on validations, and turn learnings into role-aligned content, standards, and product feedback used by service teams.

You will lead projects end-to-end, mentor engineers, and influence product direction through clear recommendations and high-quality work across the AWS Developer Experience organization.

Qualifications

  • Experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS.
  • Experience writing high-quality technical content for technical audiences.
  • 5+ years of software development or developer experience engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, TypeScript, Go, Java, or similar).
  • Experience leading technical projects from scoping through delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Define where to focus across the AWS portfolio for agent-driven development improvements.
  • Build hands-on with AI agents to validate the experience and identify gaps.
  • Produce content, standards, and guidance developers rely on.
  • Collaborate with service/product teams to drive changes that ease building with their services.
  • Lead projects end-to-end from scoping to shipping fixes or content.
  • Mentor engineers and raise the quality bar across the org.

AI agents are opening up a whole new way to build on the cloud. Developers can describe what they want and watch an agent stand it up. This role works on enabling the next generation of agentic development in the cloud, making AWS where developers and their agents love to build.

We are looking for a Senior Developer Experience Engineer to define and drive what great agent-driven development looks like on AWS. You will decide where to focus across the portfolio, build hands-on to validate the experience, and turn what you learn into content, standards, and product feedback that service teams act on. You will lead projects end-to-end, mentor other engineers on the team, and influence product direction through the quality of your work and the clarity of your recommendations.

Key job responsibilities
  • Define where to focus across the AWS portfolio for agent-driven development improvements

Basic Qualifications

    The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
