Job summary

The Governor's Office of Information Technology (OIT) is seeking a Senior Developer to join Colorado’s premier IT organization. You will code, monitor, and maintain workflows, consult with peers, and mentor junior developers while supporting agencies and Coloradans.

In this role you will manage Scrum, solve complex issues, review code, and help improve delivery processes across applications. The position emphasizes accessibility, collaboration, and continuous learning within a public sector

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of experience as a software developer in C#, C++ in progressively more complex assignments, with experience managing requirements for software application development, service delivery, and customer satisfaction.
• Experience applying digital accessibility regulations and standards (e.g., WCAG 2.1) to business processes, content, tools, and/or documents, with the ability to provide specific examples of accessibility improvements made.

• Manage the Scrum process, identify and recommend changes to development policy and process.
• Problem-solve development issues leading to the most efficient implementation possible.

We’re looking for a strategic and collaborative Senior Developer to be a team member in the operations of an applications delivery work unit. In this role, you will help us to code, monitor, and maintain workflows. You will use your expertise in applications delivery to consult and contribute with your team, and may be involved in mentoring junior developers.

In this role, you will:

Minimum Qualifications:

Conditions of Employment:

OIT employees must comply with any screening procedures in place at state agency locations where they might perform work. A pre-employment background check will be conducted as part of the selection process. Post-employment background checks will be required for specific agencies as business needs dictate, which may include a polygraph exam, fingerprint-based criminal history search, reference checks, and a drug test.

This position may require travel within the specified geographic area, and to locations across the state as needed.
